SFH VISION
 
 By 2011, Society for Family Health will demonstrate significant impact on HIV/AIDS, family planning, malaria and diarrhoeal diseases in Nigeria, with a consistent focus on the poor.  Using evidence based behaviour change communications, our key achievements will include:


SFH’s Disability Adjusted Life Years
(DALYS) double (with particular reference to the areas of SFH services and interventions).

50% of SFH’s programme beneficiaries are the poor.

50% of rural pregnant women and children under 5 sleep under long lasting insecticide treated nets in at least two focus states.

Modern contraceptive prevalence rate increases from 11% to 16%.

Consistent condom use among high risk groups increases by 20%.

SFH ADMINISTRATION

The Human Resources and Admin Division is the Division responsible for managing human capital and other assets.   The Division is made up 3 Departments: HR, Admin and Legal; all working together to ensure that SFH engages the best and brightest talent, retains them and keeps them motivated while providing the appropriate work tools and enabling environment for optimum performance.

GOAL AND FUNCTION OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT

The administrative department render support services to all other departments and divisions within the SFH organization. They create value in the overall operations and ensure that objectives of the organisation are achieved. 

The goal of the administrative department is to ensure the optimisation of SFH assets and facilitate the smooth operation of all SFH offices.  We ensure that all SFH assets are well maintained and used to enable us deliver on targets. 

As a department in an NGO that uses donor funds to provide services, we strive to ensure that we optimize usage of all the assets entrusted to us and are guided by the principles of preventive maintenance of assets, proactive management, transparency and ensuring we get the best value for money in respect of technical services.

GOAL AND FUNCTION OF THE HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT:

The goal of the HR Department is to create a convivial work environment where our diverse work force is valued, motivated, developed and rewarded for excellent performance. We will continuously seek to attract and retain top class talent and offer an enabling environment to allow good people actualize their full potentials.

As a people oriented organisation, SFH prides itself in its highly efficient and very productive workforce. We are an organisation guided by egalitarian principles and the concepts of flexibility, creativity and timely responsiveness to the needs of our employees.

GOAL AND FUNCTION OF THE LEGAL UNIT

The goal of the Legal Department is to ensure the corporate and legal good standing of SFH and ensure donor, regulatory and legal compliance relating to our areas of operations.  SFH is an organization that prides itself on its service delivery and the legal unit strives to ensure that we meet all donor requirements and carry out our activities without running against any legal or regulatory requirements.

a.            Provide Legal advice

b.            Ensure Donor, Regulatory and legal compliance

c.             Protection of intellectual property

d.            Liaison with Company Secretaries

e.            Contract management

f.             Drafting of Agreements
